Dias & Riedweg (english)

Since 1993, the Brazilian Maurício Dias and the Swiss Walter Riedweg have been developing jointly a work that probes the relationship between ethics and aesthetics through precise interventions in specific individual and group situations, focusing especially on issues associated with identity and the tension between group and individual mechanisms. Their work methods range from scientific documentation to more complex video and video-installation dramatizations. The direct involvement of the public in the work process is one of the chief characteristics of their work. This catalogue contains all the projects developed by Dias and Riedweg to date, as well as abundant information about Voracidad máxima, their joint work for the MACBA exhibition in Barcelona. It includes a DVD with a fragment from the video that forms part of the project.
