The book follows Dina, a witch who owns a café in Bloomsbury but is cursed to hurt anyone who falls in love with her. She bakes magically infused cakes and pastries while trying not to think about her disastrous love life. When she meets British museum curator, Scott, and they find themselves thrust together at a wedding where Dina is the maid of honour and Scott is the best man, sparks fly, and after a weekend full of peculiar hedge mazes, palm readings by candlelight and a midnight Halloween ritual there’s no denying the chemistry between them. But while the curse still holds, Dina knows that Scott is in danger. Can they break the curse before the curse breaks both of their hearts?
