About one year ago, Wolfgang Tillmans was prompted by his own curiosity to visit Fruit Logistica in Berlin, the most important convention for the international fruit trade. ´I was left open-mouthed by the crazy displays and the variety and complexity of the international fruit trade and its processing machinery. I reacted with my camera straight away, but left the pictures for a while so I could look at them with a bit of distance, although I was immediately thinking of an artists´ book in the format of Concorde.´ (Wolfgang Tillmans) The resultant 66 pictures are published now for the first time – as an artists´ book in the format of his bestselling classic 1997 Walther König book Concorde.
